Celia Buckler-Jones & Henry Coffeen III (The Moonlight Fund):

Celia Buckler-Jones received 34% burns in 1964, when she was 21 months old. Henry Coffeen III was badly burned in 1998, when the fuel tank of a plane he was flying ruptured. The Moonlight Fund provides financial and emotional support for burn survivors and their families throughout their period of hospitalisation and rehabilitation in the United States.

Dave Borowski (The Flicker of Hope Foundation):

Six weeks after Dave Borowski was born, a spark set his bassinet on fire. He lost his right hand, several fingers on his left hand, and was seriously disfigured. The Flicker of Hope Foundation provides emotional and practical support for young burn survivors and their families in the USA. Survivor support is presented in the form of scholarship assistance and counseling, including visits to burn camps.

Dave Roever was burned beyond recognition when a phosphorous grenade he was poised to throw exploded in his hand. The Roever Foundation provides inspirational speaking tours and training for wounded warriors through the wounded warrior alliance.

George Burk:

Karen Dodge (Dodge Law Firm Inc.):

Karen Dodge, one of the very few female burn survivors practicing law in America today, was severely injured in a "coffee-burn" accident when she was two years old, and others at the Dodge Legal Firm are also burn survivors. Based in California, the Dodge Law Firm is believed to be the only law firm in America that dedicates 100% of its practice to the legal representation of burn survivors and their families.

Katie Piper (The Katie Piper Foundation):

Katie Piper is a best-selling international author, inspirational speaker, TV presenter and charity campaigner. She is also a young woman who has rebuilt her life after surviving a brutal attack in March 2008 at the age of 24, in which she had sulphuric acid thrown in her face. The Katie Piper Foundation helps people with burns and scars to reconnect with their lives and their communities in the UK.

Michael Appleman (Burn Survivors Throughout The World):

Michael Appleman "was burned by a cigarette that .... put me and my car on fire. I got 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th degree burns." Founded by Michael in 2001, BSTTW (an international non-profit organization currently working in more than 20 different countries) offers support, education, and much more for burn survivors, medical professionals, care-givers, and the public at large.

Michael T Mathis (Burned Children Recovery Foundation):

In 1967, at 11 years old, Michael T Mathis was horribly burned over 64% of his body after a gas can exploded. The Burned Children Recovery Foundation provides emotional support from experienced burn survivors who understand the trauma the children are going through and financial assistance to the families struggling during their child's recovery from burn injuries in the USA.

Polly Brooks (Dans Fund for Burns):

Polly Brooks suffered 43% burns in the 2002 Bali bombing, which killed her husband of five weeks and eight others from her group of ten. Dan's Fund for Burns, set up the following year by Polly in memory of Dan, her late husband, provides burn survivors throughout the UK with financial, physical and emotional support, both in the immediate aftermath of a burn injury and for the longterm, lifechanging implications.
